Surfers Cove - Modern 3 2 w Pool near Calle 8

Great home with a pool close to Little Havana's best restaurants scene and Loan Depot Park/Marlins!

Pros: The home was clean, spacious, and well appointed for a short stay in the Miami area. The bustling area on SW 8TH ST was fun and only 3 blocks away with more restaurant and drink choices than you could completely cover in a week. The pool was really a highlight and provided hour and hours of comfort on the very warm and humid September days. The kitchen was well stock with dishes, pans, and cutlery. The refrigerator was large and modern with plenty of space. Having a washer and dryer on vacation is paramount to allowing you to pack efficiently and wash and reuse much of your clothing for the week. The dishwasher was also nice to have. The TV was large and had a picture of good quality. The 3 bedrooms were all a nice size and perfect for the three of us. It is relatively close to the airport and close to Loan Depot park for Marlins games which is why we chose this location.

Cons: The icemaker on the refrigerator was not working during our stay so we had to buy a few bags of ice. The roar of certain large jets going by will most likely wake you up a few times during your stay, so not good for sleeping in late. The TV did not have any service on it that was already logged in so unless you have your own streaming service login (DirecTV Stream, Fubo, YouTubeTV, Sling, etc.) to use you could not watch the major networks live. The one bathroom that is en suite with the one bedroom is really miniscule to the point that you MUST stand in the shower to brush your teeth and such so if you are a larger person (I am not small for sure) it is best to give that bathroom to the smallest person in the house. The shower door in that minuscule bathroom would not close all the way so you had to keep a towel where the door was cracked open while showering. We tried to use mass transit while we were here but the buses never came at the correct time although if you looked at the app it would tell you how late it was. None of these things were deal breakers though as we were definitely happy with our stay.
